ERIC LAFRANCE, 3D JUNIOR ARTIST

I'm a 3D freelancer junior artist who's currently studying 3d modeling for video games at LaSalle College, graduating by the end of september 2015. I am passionate and willing to give all the time and efforts needed to accomplish any project no matter if it's small of big.

The video games industry:

  • Video game's development process from pre-production through post-production.

  • The way the industry work.

  • The importance of communication.

  • The conception of a G.D.D.

3D Studio Max:

  • Modeling non-organic models.

  • Melee weapons and firearms.

  • Assets ( Containers, vacuum, etc. ).

  • UVW Unwrap ( pelt or not ).

  • Applying textures.

  • Normal maps creation ( baking ).

  • Light a scene indoor and outdoor.

  • Scanline and Mental ray rendering.

  • Low-Poly modeling.

  • Render passes for compositing.

Photoshop:

  • Texture creations for UVW Templates or Tiles creation.

  • Normal map creation.

  • Compositing.

  • Masking.

  • Creation of a 2D map for level design.

ZBrush:

  • Diffuse and Normal maps creation.

  • Fix texture with ''AppLink'' and Photoshop.

UDK 3:

  • How to build a Gray box, during the conception of a single and a multi-players level.

  • Creation of a 8 players deathmatch from start to finish.

  • Assets creation.

  • Building lights, volumes and path.

  • Applying textures and collisions.
